How to configure Halo CE for Screenshots and Console
The default configuration for Halo CE does not allow you to take screenshots of your game play. However a simple change in the startup command will chage your configuration to allow screenshots. Right click on the Halo Custom Edition Icon on your desktop and select properties (see image). In the target field of the properties dialog box you will find the following:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe"
Change this to read:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -screenshot
Note: include the quotations. You can also include any of the other command line arguments as well.
Example to enable the console:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -screenshot -console"
Now when you wish to take a screenshot of some action on your screen press the [PRTSCRN] Print Screen button and a bitmap file will be written to your C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\screenshots folder. The Image will be in the .TGA format.
