SYMPTOMS
When you try to connect to the Internet in Microsoft Halo: Combat Evolved, you may receive the following error message:

The game has closed down

CAUSE
This issue may occur if you have the GameSpy Arcade program installed on the computer.

RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, remove the GameSpy Arcade program. To do this, follow these steps:1. In Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs.
2. Under Currently installed programs, click GameSpy Arcade, and then click Change/Remove.
3. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to remove the GameSpy Arcade program.
