My IP has been banned from your forum. Why?
If you have tried to register in our web forum and been rejected due to your IP being banned then your IP is on one of the abuse lists of IP numbers we use and has been identified as a either a socks, web proxy, tor node or as a known abuser of IRC channels or by our internal IP ban list.
Essentially if your IP was banned then your PC has either been compromised by a worm, virus or malicious spyware, you are running or attempting to use a SOCKS, HTTP or other type of proxy, are using the TOR network to hide your real IP or have been banned for conduct in an IRC channel or on our forum. Our forum is ONLY open to people who will conduct themselves openly without subterfuge and with decorum.

We use several public lists to screen and filter IP numbers at registration time before allowing members to participate in the forum. They are:
- xbl.spamhaus.org – http://www.spmahaus.org the XBL advisory is a real-time database of IP addresses of hijacked PCs infected by illegal 3rd party exploits, including open proxies (HTTP, socks, AnalogX, wingate, etc), worms/viruses with built-in spam engines, and other types of Trojan-horse exploits.
- http.dnsbl.sorbs.net - http://www.sorbs.net - List of Open HTTP Proxy Servers.
- socks.dnsbl.sorbs.net - http://www.sorbs.net - List of Open SOCKS Proxy Servers.
- misc.dnsbl.sorbs.net - http://www.sorbs.net - List of open Proxy Servers not listed in the SOCKS or HTTP lists.
- ircbl.ahbl.org - http://www.ahbl.org/documents/ircbl - IRC network abuse lists. Lists flooders and other annoying and abusive individuals
- tor.dan.me.uk - https://www.dan.me.uk/dnsbl - This DNS blacklist contains ALL tor nodes (both entry and exit nodes)
- Halo Maps Internal IP ban list – The halomaps.org internal IP ban list is a list of IP numbers of known web proxies and IP numbers of members of the forum that have been banned for conduct.
Your conduct carries with it consequences. If your IP number has gotten on one of the above lists then either through neglect or design you have been doing something we consider unacceptable and posting privileges in the forum will not be permitted. The registration page will tell you which list has rejected your IP and you may contact the owners of that particular list for removal (unless of course you are participating in such behavior).
